Hi everyone. I am looking to acquire a set of crash bars and pannier protectors for my 2011 GTR. any recommendations please, I don't like the read-ups I have seen on the R&G ones, and want pannier protection too. Thanks in advance.

I have the R&G version on the front and they saved everything when a guy reversed back into me last year so for me there spot on.

The bikes simply sat on the bar when I laid it down, not a scratch anywhere else.

Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.

No Pross.. I thought it would be difficult but it wasn't.. Read the instructions a few times before fitting.. I did mine myself.. You will need a torque wrench and a long extension (12") to be able to get to the engine mounting bolts when they are fitted. Easy peasy

If you decide to remove the fairing for fitting, I recommend you also remove the black lower panels too.. These will be the last to go back on and will make it easier to put back together.

Thanks very much for everyone who replied. I'll have a think and sort it out-I like the ones Debs has fitted.

If you decide to go for the same as me, contact Ryan @ MCEnterprises [email protected]. Tell him you saw them on here and ask for the $25 discount off shipping.

Thanks for the picture Debs, I'm looking at getting some bars for protection against drops for my new GTR as we;;... I've had a bit of a dig around these MCE ones and there seems to be some issues with replacing one of the engine mounting bolts, the red Loctite used is a  :censored: to remove and can actually prevent the new crash bar bolts from going in. Did you experience any issues like that?
I don't fancy pulling the engine mounting bolt out and then finding I can't get the new ones in (or even replace the old ones!).

I assume that all brand bars (including the ones made by Ant - who is unfortunately out of stock at the moment) will potentially have the same problem with mounting?

I didn't have any problem fitting these new ones on this bike, but my 09 that had a different style engine/fairing guard, I had to get Kawasaki to fit a helicoil because the bolts striped the threads.

Thanks for that Debs, that's kind of you.

Longtom - did you make a decision on these bars? I'm torn on getting them, the price of shipping and import is just a tiny bit off putting (although not as off putting as the thought of buying a new fairing).
