Got the message a few times today and although the stock answer is don't worry about it, ect ect , What is the current thinking on this and what do we think sets it off, a blip in fuel pressure , dirty injector ??

Mine also did it yesterday, but I have not worried about it as the dealership don't seem fussed. A momentary blip is completely different to a solid warning but I accept it means something to someone. Consequently it was not long after a fill up, and the tank was almost dry beforehand if this is of any relevance?

i had that happen a couple of time on my old zzr 1400 .turned off the ignition ,turned it back on, cleared it and never ever had any problems .

You could double-check the battery ground connections.

Hi

This has happened on my trike 5 times, F1 comes up for a second or so, then goes away, no obvious affect on the engine running at all.
Now the odd thing is 3 times it has been on the same bit of road, within 1/2 a mile or so.
The even odder thing is my car (2005 Ford Mondeo 2.2 TDCI) occasionally show a traction control system warning light, and I have to turn off and back on to clear it, say 6 or 7 times in the 3 years I have had it, 3 or 4 time on the same bit of road.....

From this I assume its caused by an external environmental influence, maybe radio or phone masts?
