I probably would have debs but I was lying face down with the remains of a 1250 bandit on top of my leg it was funny how my helmet was all grazed up the chin gaurd and visor no damage to the rear.

since haveing the GTR over the bandit the number of cars not seeing me seems to have increased. i put this down to the twin lamps that look like a distant car. and the quieter exhaust. it not standard but very quiet compared to the full race akrapovic system on the bandit.
however  with above.
i do not buy in to the SMIDSY excuse. it's our responsibility not to be pulled out on. and if we are, to make sure we are not on a collision course.
i do buy in to the loud can save lives approach.

I have used these from Dickies. They are cheap and chearful, but have a zip up front so don't blow open like the Velcro ones. also have some handy little pockets to put car park barrier cards in, so easier to get to rather than putting in inside pockets.

PS - as you say, dont matter what you wearing if drivers aren't looking. ................

I tend to wear mine mainly at night or when its dark and rainy.

I have the twozero gilet type.
It has zips on the sides to exspand to cover a rucksack if required not sure many on here will need it.

Very good quality a bit pricey but I've hade mine 5 years so it pays for itself.
Also keep your eyes peeled for them free with a mag subscription I did

I wonder how that works with the idiots with the windows up, listening to loud music, and texting.....?  You do realize that the noise comes out the rear and goes backwards from whence you came, right?  Now if the can was pointing forwards, I could understand that philosophy.

Window up and listening to loud music is no different to helmet music Jim,,,,Loud exhaust is useful in second gear going past the dick that just didn't see you,,,,,shits the life out them !

As they turn the steering wheel towards you or someone else...I've got no use for excessively loud pipes.  I just keep an eye on them and expect them to try to hurt/kill me.  It's worked so far and I haven't damaged my hearing.  I have an Area P but I don't think it's excessively loud.  My idea of loud pipes are the HDs around here (US) with no muffling at all.  If I'm driving with the windows up, music on excessively loud, and not texting, I really don't hear them until they pass me.  I could still pull out and wipe them out if I didn't look in the mirrors so their loud pipes would be for naught.
