Just went and had some fresh rubber fitted to the beast today. First run out this year with the salt pretty much all washed away now..... Well for this week anyway. Temp still only about 5•c up in the hills though so heated grips a must just now.
Went for the PR4's, they were only £15 more than the 3's so why not!
Dunno if it's my imagination playing tricks on me, or if it's just cos it's been a while since I've had a good blast out on Laura.. But she felt f#*king rapid today!!! I thought it might be because I fitted that new carbon Scorpion Exhaust and this is the first time I've proper ridden her on dry roads.. But with that 8kg weight loss on the rear and the winter service all done.. She felt seriously quick. Big grin behind the visor today:)
Well.. Not much else to report as today was really all about getting new boots on her...
Had time for a quick brew n cake though on way back with my bro though
Cheers :punk:

Nice one, I'm also getting some new rubber fitted on the 20th of this month, coincidentally I'm also going for the PR4's. I swore by the PR3's but I'm assured that the 4's are better still.

3's.....4's... All good!!... I'm happy either way, just to have that perfect handling of the bike again. Can't beat that new tyre feeling when it rolls effortlessly from side to side. I completely trashed my last set of 3's from the transition period of going from my Fireblade, to a tourer. Now I've calmed things down somewhat I'm planning on getting some decent mileage out of these PR4's.

I managed to get about 9k miles from my PR3's......did you? :mfr_lol:

Nowhere near... Only 5k from my PR3's..
But.... Lesson learned, in that it's not economical to ride a GTR, like a CBR1000 hahaha.
Yep..... I couldn't just put that in the old brain box as a bold fact....
I had to show my poor excuse of a brain the evidence instead and only then did I say the words..
"Oh yeah!!.....you just can't ride it like that now!"
As my dad would say to me...(in his Scouse accent..)
"Your friggin tick you lad!!"
(Remember to spit when u say 'tick' and not thick!!)
