Its not just bike stealerships that Rob us, citroen tried it on today!

In brief , Took my wifes Ds3 back for its first service ( 12 month). Id read reviews about the main dealer in stockport and they were awful , accusations of dishonesty ect. With this in mind I did one of my little viper set ups. I marked the oil filter position with a black marker , its position in relation with the engine case
after shocking service getting the car in , handing keys over we collected the car some 3 hours later and guess what , oil filter position not changed although there was a convienient smear of oil on it . I challenged the service manager and it ended up with 5 of them v me slanging it out on the sales floor and me being sent off with a flea in my ear. The service managers explanation of the marks being in an identical place was pure coincidence.

Got the car home , unscrewed the filter housing and the oil filter in side has a date stamp of jan 2014 which is when the car was built , its a purflex which is what citroen use. The filter is very dirty , the paper material is degrading and there are small metal particles within. When I screwed the housing up it took about 12 turns and the marks ended up a good 90 degress apart.

going to contact citroen uk tomoz , then trading standards before I request a meeting with the dealer principle

Unfortunately there are dealers like that in all branches, getting good ones a bad name.
My wife takes her DS3 to a local independent Citroen specialist who is nearer and cheaper.
He reckons that the local main dealer is offering 'discount servicing' but using non Citroen parts

It's a pity you didn't get the dealer to remove the oil filter to check it before you left the dealership and then they would have seen the condition internally of it which lets face it would have been pretty damn conclusive that it wasn't new.

However there is always plan B.

We are not pleased with the main Ford dealer in Norwich  :2guns:

1- Company van towed in by AA man who tells garage that he suspects 2 week old fuel filter is to blame,(fitted at service) it takes 2.5 days for dealer to work it out, :whistling: after continual calls from me in which I'm told "we haven't found the cause yet" lying toe rags hadn't even looked.

2- Fiesta now 4 years old goes to garage on a Ford re-call, suspected glow plug fault, took us weeks to get it in after continual fob off's, "job should take 20-30 minutes sir but to be honest hardly any cars need this mod" when I return I'm told that our car needs the mod but they have no parts,  then told lies about new staff and lack of parts at Ford, then one of the sales team tells us the truth in that as so little need mod they hadn't ordered any parts  :hammer: now I have to take it back Saturday morning again.

Strongly worded but diplomatic letter to Ford going out over the weekend, total  :shit:
