Scotland is one of those places you can never get bored with. Shame on you both for never having been. It's never too late, get some accommodation booked and get up there this year.

nice pics!!!
me and the missus just got back home (hull)  yesterday,  having done virtually the same route but heading to loch ness after skye.
we could have gone from fort William to loch ness in half an hour or so but decided on the mallaig isle of skye detour and due to our ferry also being fully booked had to wait and so our detour took us 5 and a half hours!!!

skye was dreadful weather wise and it was almost torrential rain all the way to invermoriston

Help the water drain away   :mfr_lol:

The Beadrider helps to prevent a numb bum and also allows air to circulate under your bum making the journey more pleasurable.

aljaxon

I get a sweaty bum and that in turn makes it eventually feel "creased" or hot (lol ive got a hot arse)
might try a cheapo flea market one before spending loads of lolly as i've read they don't work for some

Aljaxon, the John O'Groats accommodation was quite simply outstanding, we paid £55 per head possibly because we booked so early and that included breakfast and great hospitality from our hosts.....oh, and we got a bed as well.

The Skye accommodation was good, cheap, £38 per room including breakfast, great location.

The Edinburgh accommodation was disappointing, £45 per room, nuff said!
