Now I have decided what's going where I started the auxiliary fuse box install today. Getting the right hand side panel off was a pig.

After pulling all the wires out that I had run straight to the battery, fitted the fuse block I had built earlier.

Making sure I routed the cables so I can take the bike apart should I need to.

Switched live taken from Aux socket.

SatNav's wired and checked operational removed temp earth connections.

Tidy up battery back in.

Panel back on that will do for today.

Wiring install for the Air-horns, cabling and relay in using the existing horn wires,  tested working (bloody loud in the garage ;)) just gotta make the mounting bracket. And get another relay as the one that came with the horn is very poor quality.

3mm Stainless steel.
Bracket to be mounted where the red n black wires cross so horn will be upright to allow water to drain out :)

Bracket (prototype) being made today, picking it up tomorrow, more pics to follow :)

If you look at where the red n black cross there is a bracket under them which was holding the clip to the left.

This type of horn.

is that one where you can separate the compressor? I had one in that location and the fairing restricted the sound

Bracket collected and horn installed.

Drill out mount on frame to M8

Fit bracket 'note which way round' and inside of horn mount.

Connect +ve & -ve wires and mount bracket under mount on frame so there are no edges for cables to rub on 'note there is space all round the horn when mounted  it touches nothing' there is some flex in the Stainless bracket I might stick a foam pad on the top of the horn to reduce this.

With cover back on still touches nothing.

Now just waiting for Shark stereo to be delivered, should be next week  :)

Sounds just the same with cover on as sound is transmitted out and not into faring panel :)

Shark stereo has arrived :) bloody wrong one ffs. After a long email session with the supplier in the USA they are going to send me the correct amp with the remote waterproof on/off button and volume controller. So until then I have to take the seat off to switch it on after the bike is running as i get feedback from the ECU and control the volume via my iPhone. So this is what I have done while I await the replacement.

Found a place for the Amp, Velcro is our friend :)

Now for the speakers, after deciding where they are going I rang Doebag to see if was selling the parts I am going to drill and he said yes :) happy boy so here goes.
Left side.

Marked up, get drill and sweat you don't Fook it up.

When drilling to 12mm go up in 2mm steps from 4mm and use blunt bits as sharp bits grab.

Hole to run speaker cable and iPod jack through. Grommet to be fitted when I get one.

Speaker mounted sealed round holes with black silicon, glove box still operational :) as this is where my iPod will live.

Repeat with right side.

Leave enough speaker cable in here so you can remove infill to get to Aux fuse box on right.

Back together :) stop sweating and breath :)
All cables running to the amp from the front are just tucked in under the tank so speakers and infill panels can be removed easily should it be required.

This unit is to be replaced when the correct one arrives from the USA and the remote cable installed. Wired into rear aux cable.

Special thanx  to all who provided info as to how to get at em.

Just for info remove tool tray, lift out ECU, look in Black boot tucked right up the back towards tail, and in here you will find em.

Thanks for the detailed info. I have just bought the same horn and have been thinking about where, what, how etc. Saved me a lot of head scratching no doubt.
Cheers

Kevin

Why did you go for speakers rather than, for example, in-ear monitors?

Kevin
I'm old enough to know better but don't
