Ok, I know this has been covered several times, but where are those aux cables on the left hand side of the bike?
I've been looking in all the rubber boots etc but can't find them. Am I barking up the wrong tree, are they only on the pre 2010 model?
If there's none there then I'll just take it from somewhere else.

Thanks all,

Mark

L/H side forward of the glove box, black flexible plastic boot protecting a mass of wire joints, there are 2 free wires in there, forgotten the colour.....

If you feel up in the left fairing in front of the storage box, you will see/feel a large rubber boot that covers a couple of multi block connectors and the auxillary bullet connectors. You can fold the rubber boot back like a glove cuff to make it easier.
The auxillary leads are quite short, but they are there.
Easiest way to access them if you are struggling is to remove the storage box.
1/ Remove two push pin connectors at top of storage box and the allen headed screw at bottom of box interior
2/ Juggle box upwards, you may need to partially close the lid to get the mechanism through the opening
3/ Disconnect electrical connector to mechanism

Refitting is the opposite, but you WILL have to jiggle the box to get it to sit flat with fairing surround !!

Don't forget there are two in the back as well, under the ECU.

I don't have much trouble with mine.  I've taken it on and off so many times...  Just remember where the screws go back and make sure all the interlocking tabs go where they are supposed to go.  Make yourself a cardboard template with the holes from each side so that they stay together.  Don't forget to put washers back on those screws that require them...typically on painted surfaces.

Sounds like a tip I should use, but not sure what you mean. Can you explain more please?

Just a bit of card suitably marked up so you can stick the bolts/screws in the same pattern

Here's one I did when splitting the 9R.  Zoom in and you can see all the detail etc

Ah, I see, thanks. Good idea. Better than my laying them out on the floor like that

I was imagining some sort of guide/tool that assisted when putting the panels back.

I just use small containers for each section and then work backwards when refitting
