I'm Off Again To France

Heading out with 3 other bikers on Saturday evening to Pompy. Brittany Ferries to Caen then heading down to Oradour-Sur-Glane for 5 days.. 

If I'm feeling up to it I will pop up to the GTR meet on the 14th just for the day

I've heard Limoges is going to have crap weather next week !!!   27 - 29 degrees with a bright light in the sky all day..... don't forget your hat......

Debs you have far too much weight on that there bike......if you take the pink cuddly toy off the front, it should be just fine.

Here's a selection of pic of my trip to France and to Oradour Sur Glane

Once we arrived in the 28c heat it was that time to set up.. I was well  once done.




On Tuesday 10th we went down to Oradour Sur Glane for the 70th anniversary of the massacre.

Old cars just rusting away in their "what was" garages.






The old street car station.









The Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls attended.. Security was high with many Gendarmerie and Secret Service guys around.





The kiddies of the New village came out to line the walk way for when the Prime Minister arrived. It was quite emotional as nearly 200 children were killed in the massacre.




I was glad I went, but would like to go back again when it's not quite so busy.

All packed up ready to head home..
