5 days until the off and my self and ali (alibongo) are heading north for a week.

Day 1: we meet at Lymm and then M6 and cross country to Devils bridge, Kednal A6 to Penrith then over Hartside, Alston, into the Tyne valley and up the A68 round Edinburgh to 1st night in Falkirk.

Day 2 Falkirk to Fort William - route not quiet finalised yet but probably go down Glen Coe and then cross the water on the Coran Ferry and go along loch Eil and west to Glenfinnan, (harry potter viaduct) before heading on to Inverness.

Day 3 Fort William to Inverness via Skye and Loch Caron. We'll go onto Skye using the Kylerhea Ferry and come off using the Bridge

Day 4 North from Inverness and a big anti clock loop back to Inverness via Ullapool

Day 5 east from Inverness and south into the hills passing the Lech Ski Area, Braemar, Glenshee and loping back up Strathardle to Pitlochry.

Day 6 Working as moto marshal on the Etap Caledonia.

Day 7 head for home, down the A7 through th borders to CArlisel and then A6 /M6 and back to Stafford and Oswestry respectively.

Last year we only did 5 days so this year can only be better and Im getting new PR4's fitted on Saturday.

:agree: Indeed we are .. Patrick that sounds very nice indeed .. Have a great time and keep that camera out ! That should cover some decent  miles AND time in the saddle .... Enjoy !

Patrick, enjoy it, I'm sure you will. The ferry you are intending to use, Rusty and I used that last year it's far more interesting than the bridge.

patrick

I've used the little Skye ferry and Coran Ferry in the car before but no by bike.

Probably do around 1500 miles inc the cycle event.

Lonewolf

Its a lovely little ferry, hopefully you'll have better weather than Rusty and I did last year.  :mfr_lol: Twas a tad slippery on deck!
