Tiny Tina out grew my home made tank bag, I blame the mrs for feeding her  :whistling:

So after lots of hunting around I decided there is just not enough room on the tank for her, being a trike you use all the steering movement a lot more than a bike, so I bought a brand new top box, cut a hole in it, lined the hole with a trim (not yet fitted in pics) and hey presto!
The cushion from her bed fits in nicely and she can see all around as we tootle down the road.

Its a bit more windy than behind the screen, and she is not keen on her pink goggles.....,  so I am going to make a screen to go on the front of the box, just need to find an old screen to adapt.

Will take some more pics when we are on the road, when I manage to remember......

I shall keep my eyes open for you on the trike. I live in South Wales ( Near Pontypridd). We probably ride the same roads. I ride Blue GTR1400, usually with my better half. (Her opinion)

Few pics from my ride to work, it would be rude not to go on the trike when the weather is like this, and took the scenic route  :whistling:.

Hi

No real news on the trike front, been using it all summer including a trip to France.
Bike rear tyre that is now fitted to the front is doing very well, hardly any wear and its been on for 1000s of miles.
May get a different ratio diff and fit this winter, also remove the back brakes from the ABS / linked system, yokes still to do....

Hi

Trike passed its MOT today

Over the winter I have:-

Fitted custom made 5' raked yokes - the basic fitting was fairly straightforward ish, biggest problem was removing 1.7mm from the bottom of the frame head, took some heath robbinson engineering, some time spent adjusting the brake pipes and making one fixing on the front of the bottom yoke, and trimming the bit of plastic on the bottom yoke.
The main problems came refitting the kipass key block, I made 2 spacers to hold the block under the top yoke, which worked fine but because the yokes and now at an angle to the frame head I had to make a curved plate to fit to the front of the top head so the steering lock still works.

Also fitted 55W HID projector headlights with angel eyes, they work very well, and did the normal service, and fitted a Garmin Zumo base permanently wired in.

Raked yokes - riding pros and cons: -

The steering is much lighter, its a pleasure to go round sharp corners.
The reduced trail has resulted in it going into a bit of a tank slap at higher speeds if you hit a pot hole or bump.
I have not yet tried tweeking suspension settings etc to try and get rid of this.

Few pics

Would fitting of a steering damper assist in controlling the tank slapper problem Richard

Hi

As a last resort yes I expect it would, but so far I have not found one intended for the GTR, and I have risers on which may get in the way?
