My granddaughter (year and a couple of months) walked up to me and just rested her head on my stomach for a few minutes and then left.  As she was leaving, I told her I'd buy that new car for her.  My other grandchildren and my two daughters have never learned how to play me.  Methinks the new granddaughter does...best start saving now.

He sounds like a bit of a soft touch to me. A car today, it'll be a house tomorrow and then it just goes on and on. He's doomed!  :mfr_lol:

Kids will always work it out. My eldest knows he will get treats if he's good whereas my wife is always saying I give in to the youngest no matter what.

We have two grandsons, one is 9 months old and very nearly walking, the other is 3 months old but is still in hospital as he was born 3 months premature at 1lb 9oz, hopefully he'll be home very soon now as he now weighs over 7lbs

There are always parcels arriving because Julie is always on fleabay or whatever sourcing out what she terms "bargains"

They will have lots of love and affection but will not be spoilt and WILL be raised with manners and respect for there elders.

Oh man I have the exact same problem. My first granddaughter knew how to play me from day one. Unfortunately she is now 17 and wants a blue Corvette. But I think she would settle for a used Miata... blue of course.

Lonewolf

Rhino, if she's after a Corvette tell her you'll buy her the British equivalent of a Corvette, that would be a Vauxhall Nova, she'll be the envy of all her friends and the icing on the cake is they also come in blue.

It's a win, win situation.

She's a lot brighter then I am, so I'm pretty sure she wouldn't mistake this:

:mfr_lol:  I know I wouldn't have a problem with telling the two apart.

She needs to think big and get a real (blue) sports car.
