If I could withstand the gale force winds and driving rain I'd go outside this instant and take a photo just to contrast the one which Ros has so very kindly shared with all us Brits.  :gun_bandana:

Sorry - I'll try and behave myself now...   :whistling:  :mfr_lol:

Nope.  I can't resist...

Popped out for lunch today at La Torrazza.  Molto bene!  A bit chilly with just 11°C, but nice clean dry grippy roads (slalom around the potholes)

They even had their robot lawnmower going today... Lazy gits

Well I went to Brighouse this morning, arrived at 9.30 and left at 12.00 hoping to beat the weather............nope, it got me on the M62. :boat: Down to 55 - 60mph all they way home, got some nice angles on the bike from the cross winds, but kept dry inside.
I covered my visor in my paint protection stuff and the water just beaded off, so was pleased with that, but I did wonder WTF am I doing in this !!! It never went above 3 degrees..

Oil and filter change. Had a carry on getting the oil filter off and to cap it off cracked the front guard putting the bike away.

Another job for another day

But hey-ho, fresh oil for a fresh year

Superbly illustrative as ever. I did get claustrophobic watching the spark plug bit though.

Travelled 301 miles on the GTR, Mid - Kent then Bedford from home (near to Norwich) and back again. Saw 17c on the gauge in Kent, but down to 11c in Bedford!

Mounted front fender extender, greased the splines on the final drive and mounted rear wheel and lower fairing. Took the Thunder nugget on a premiere ride. The Pilot Road 4 GT feels realy good, what a differens compared to the worn out OEM Bridgestone!

Made an hours job 5.
Oil change: couldn't get the oil filter off, it was on so tight. Have one of the adapters that slip over the filter but ended up rounding it off :shit:. Thought I was going to have to put a screw driver though it but then would have had to remove the lower fairing :shit: eventually got it off with a clamp. Discovered there was no washer on the sump bolt (from last dealer service) so had to get one.

Headlight bulbs: Thought I was going to break the back of the headlight assembly pulling off the power lead (which wouldn't come off) :shit: so had to remove bulb first and then pull off lead. Realised you had to have a 4 year old's size hands to do it.

Those oil filters are on too tight. Grab one of these to remove. The first time I did the oil filter it was a pain. I had to go down the screwdriver route.

No washer from dealer? That's basic stuff!
