Welcome Mecki, this seems to be a recurring theme of people going to dealers with no intention of buying a GTR, and ending up owning one, It happened to me also, mine is green too, and so far after just 500 miles no complaints at all. Looks exactly like mine but a lot cleaner being as IVe done 15000 miles since august. I like it so much this is my second consecutively.

OK - I had a test ride on a 09 model last year and loved it, but in the end I decided to stick with my 1250 Bandit GT K8 for a while longer.
I tried the new Triumph Sprint GT earlier this year and wasn't impressed. I guess I just got to used to the enormous grunt the Bandit has at the bottom end and the Sprint felt comparatively sluggish below 6000 rpm.
Even though a gel seat and MRA touring screen improved the touring abilities of the Bandit considerably it is still not a real sports tourer.
And since I go down to the south of France on the bike twice a year to visit my son and his family I wanted something more comfortable.

hi guys, well i can relate to tha as well,lol,.set my heart on the new vfr 1200!,tock it for a test ride back a while ago,was absolutly smitten with it!!!,umed n arred for a while then put it on the back burner--then for some reason i decided to try a gtr!,just before i bought the honda (been scouring the net for ages for a low mileage one with all the kit on it) tock the gtr out,,,,,,well,i was amazed!!!,thats it,i had to have one,,,,,1 week later,a 08 gtr with 569mls on the clock-fully loaded with all the goodies was mine!! ca-ching!!! ;D
