Got my new pride and joy home on Saturday and generally very happy.  Lovely bike (2010 model).

BUT....

Drove around today then left on the drive for 20mins to cool before putting in the garage.  When I walked over to the bike to put it in the garage I noticed a largish patch of condensation in the headlight.  First time I've seen it, and definitely never been there before (in the short time I've owned it!).

Any suggestions/recommendations?  Why is there condensation?

Moisture is getting in somehow. Check the seal of the headlight assembly and also check that the black cover at the rear is on correctly.

Have I not read  ( in the handbook)   that this can happen mostly after you have just washed the bike, and it is no reason to worry?.
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

Ah, that'll be why I've never had that issue  :whistling:

Have not had that in my headlamp yet but some in the clocks (rev counter) before. I do not use water to wash my bike and it has happened when no rain was around either.

I thought the headlight unit and clocks etc were meant to be completely sealed (unless changing lights etc)?

I got the condensation after I left the bike to cool on the drive.  I was driving back in drizzle but can't see this causing the condensation as the drizzle was very light?

The headlamp unit is not sealed.
There are 2 rubber covers where the bulbs fit and if one of these is not seated correctly water can and will get in.
If it's really bad you can remove both bulbs and rubber seals and put a hairdryer (ON COOL, not HOT!) into one of the holes.
30 mins should dry it out nicely.
