Hi all.

I'm looking at buying some Rukka kit. Probably an Argo jacket and Just wondered if anybody had bought from fc-moto in Germany. Their prices are miles cheaper than anywhere in this country.

Cheers

I have just got a dainese stradon jacket and pants plus boots all for £800 at motocard in Andorra , their prices are the best I have seen , the jacket to buy in uk is £750 , pants £375 boots £200 , a hell of a saving , the pants where to big so I have just sold them on ebay for £290 , and ordered another smaller pair at £261  which is post free  , cheaper than having to send them back , also ordered a vintage r twin leather at £320  over £100 cheaper than over here ,  the dainese  stradon jacket is a fantastic piece of kit ,I looked at the ruckka stuff  but looks wise the dainese is a lot more stylish in my view ,,,, :biker3:

Sorry to bore the old chaps on here but I shall keep it short ... Rukka is fantastic and you won't regret it ! There are some here who can help you but I'm sure there isn't a problem with buying it all from Germany ... As you say the deals are very good !

I've dealt with FC-Moto before and had no problems with them.
I bought a pair of MX Boots thinking I could use them on the GTR.
No bloody chance, can't bend the ankle enough to change gear.
They are sat in my garage waiting for a use.
I bought Alpinestars Tech 6 (I think).
If anyone wants a pair in size 16(US) let me know.

Thanks for the reply's.  Looks like FC-moto will be probably be getting my business.
How can UK stockists justify charging £800 for a jacket i can get online from our German cousins for around £450. I realise there's currency exchange and different taxation but surely it cant make that much difference can it??
I'm off to my local stockist tomorrow with evidence of the price i can get one from online and see what they say.

Make sure you've tried it on for sizing first....

That's what did for Hein Gericke and several others.
The shops seem to think that they can charge more and nobody will notice.
I understand that they have higher expenses but nobody is going to pay more for the same item, especially not if the difference is £100+.
The downside is that most of those who don't do the whole online/offline thing right will go under.
I get my stuff (big sizes) from https://www.jtsbikerclothing.com/ and they have one shop in Coalville that is also the front of the internet warehouse.
So if I need to try something I can go there and try it.
Otherwise I order online.

I've been to motocentral which is close to where i live to try the kit for size. While there i asked about movement on their price. They said they would beat any UK price if the company they are competing against carry it in stock. But not necessarily on the continent. unfortunately F C moto dont have one in my size at the minute. I've emailed them to get an anticipated date for when they will re stock and i'm going to take a screen shot from their online store and the reply to my email to motocentral to see what they can do. I would prefer to keep my money going into our economy i don't mind paying a few quid more but over here the prices are around £800 FC moto's price is £438. It's a no brainer.

Well it turns out that neither F C moto or Bikerland in Germany had the size of jacket i need in stock. I emailed them both and was told they were out of stock and would not be replaced which i found a bit odd.

On the bright side i went back to Motocentral, showed them the websites of F C moto and bikerland and said that if they could get anywhere near their price i would buy the jacket there and then. There was a bit of discussion between the shop floor staff and the manager and after 5 minutes they came back with an offer that was close enough for me to accept. It was a bit more than it would have cost to buy and pay the postage from Germany but i'm  happy enough to pay a bit more as at least my money is gong into a local business. I'm now the proud owner of a Rukka Argonaught jacket.
