Very good indeed ...  quite true of course ! :mfr_lol:

Very nicely produced documentary, I love the bit about the horse at the end. All perfectly true of course.

Hmmm ....... no mention of a pool table though  :whistling:

Rusty

Ha ! A Pool Table ... Happy Times ... We had one at Littlehampton and I remember both Brighton AND Hove had a full size snooker table ... If only they could tell their stories !!!!!!  :mfr_lol:

Lonewolf

Who remembers stations having a bar? We used to have one where I work, also one at Bradford bridewell and headquarters, all now gone.

Rusty

Oh God yes ... You can't have Police Officers drinking alcohol and unwinding from the stresses of the day .. One might catch a glimpse of " morale " or " teamwork " .....   ... Absolutely not .... What would the public think ? Utterly disgraceful behaviour .... Step into that bar and I'll stick you on for Gross Misconduct....

Oh, and I believe the 'fireman' reference in the ladybird book  has a basis of truth, but I could not possibly comment
