Have you heard yourself,  :mfr_lol: it was a quick snap. Live with it!

Saturday I managed nearly 50 feet on the 1400.  :mfr_lol: Also fitted the tank bra I bought from Debs. :-)

Spent some time on the GTR1000 as well. Wanted to change the sidelight bulb for an LED one.
Whilst fitting it the bulb pinged off and into the headlamp.
So, I had to take the whole fairing upper off just to get the bulb out.
Whilst that was off I noticed that I had 2 wiring faults and the stay that the fairing subframe mounts to had disintegrated.
So, what was gonna be a 10 minute job turned into 4½ hours.
Ahhh, the joys of old motorcycles. Still it kept me out of Ella's hair whilst she was ironing (she hates ironing!)

a small bit of preventative maintenance, took battery out and cleaned and checked connections, they were not that tight! Pleased to see that mr kawasaki has got a spare 30amp fuse in there, everyone should know where the main battery fuse is . Tightened up the exhaust header bolts with out removing any fairings , they were not that tight either, got a 3/4 turn on each one. Rotated my front disc  bobbins . took rear section exhaust off and cleaned everything up around it and replaced . a small bit of copper grease here and there

Thoroughly washed and dried the bike today and then tweaked the big black knob a few times to make sure it was still performing as you would expect, it was a bit stiff at first but I managed to get it going with a bit of lubricant.  :mfr_lol:

the trick is to have the correct spanner, a rachet ring one with a pivotable head works best, two hands in through the grill, one to guide the spanner onto the nut and then the other to do small turns. I have not got small hands but  not giants, it is tight through the grills and a bit uncomfortable, but it do-able , just

It's a nice sunny day, so with a service booked for next week, I thought I better wash it.

I am sure it blinked when I rolled it out of the garage.

You'll be pleased to know that since my last entry on this thread it has been raining with almost tropical abundance non stop.  Yesterday, however, the sun came out and the temperature limped back up to about 11°C.  :whistling: So to charge the battery up again, I popped out for lunch.  Best pizza around in this place :)

Just before you all get too jealous - it's pissing down again since this morning...

Well, after watching the Men's Downhill this morning (and the first guy out of the hut was on the same skis as I got this Christmas  :punk:), I was trying to watch the Women's Slopestyle snowboard competition 'cos apparently we got a medal, when my way of fudging the BBC into thinking that I'm in the UK suddenly stopped working, and so did my BBC iPlayer feed...  So with nothing better to do, we headed out on the bike.  It was a little crisp out there today - the display said 9°C so again, the old grip warmers came on a little and my FW was complaining about cold hands for a short while.  The cappuccino that I got for her in Como was enough to keep the cold at bay, and I was able to enjoy the not unpleasant view.  I think I must have a greasy fingerprint on the lens of my phone though, so the pics are a bit crap, but you get the idea:

Did you lot have a good weekend?   :whistling:

Cheers

Ros, once again the weather out your way is decidedly tropical by comparison to ours, 9 degrees, you lucky bugger!
