What are your views on front led light cluster units  being fitted, where to fit , what type , do they look naff, whose got them?

keen to know your thoughts. Im seeing more and more cars with them and our new car has got them and they look quite smart

Lonewolf

Personally I wouldn't bother, the bike has four lights already, huge road presence and with my high viz on I like to think I'm extremely visible.

However each to their own of course and if you did fit some they would probably be best mounted on some crash bars.

dokterdave

Leave them for the Adventure bikers.

thats a fair point .  If i did go for them i was thinking about the LED strips rather than the spotlight, a bit like the new cars have

Hi Kenny, do they really make a difference over standard bulbs then? I was thinking of changing the bulbs for an aftermarket set. Mark.

jenros

try "bike viz" bullets,,,i put two sets on mine, one under side of the mirrors,an the other just under the front cowl just below the headlights,,,

Debs

I have 4 white bullets under the front cowl and just added 2 red to the rear with brake light option.

These look good, are they easy to wire in?

Why would I want to make my bike look like the Corsas and Saxos parked down at the local McDonalds?

Personally I hate all this rush to have more and/or bigger and brighter lights. It's a war that can not be won. At some point current lighting legislation will actually be enforced and we'll look back and wonder how we ever got in this mess. Brighter lights cause eye fatigue, momentary blindness, temporary reduced sensitivity to light meaning you can't see in the shadows, and very bright lights (i.e. poorly focused/installed aftermaket HIDS or rally spec bulbs x2 wattage) can mask other vulnerable road users, pedestrians/cyclists , from view.

Rant over (pet hate ) but you did ask for views
