Evening folks

This may sound like a stupid question - but does the 2010 gtr 1400 have an alarm and/or immobiliser fitted as standard?

I know its got the funky key etc and Kawasaki call its security system some weird and wonderful names.....but what about simple terms?

Cheers

ive got a 2010 and the Kipass system is an immobilser in itself, however kawasaki do state that the bike has an immobilser, no alarm tho

The Kipass system is classed as a Thatcham Mark 2 system for insurance purposes too, just so that you know.

The immobiliser clearly works very well .. Steves not had his bike nicked yet and he lives in a place called Bradford. :whistling:

I understand that yours is more likely to get washed away at the moment than nicked what with the weather down your neck of the woods! I've been sunbathing this afty.   :mfr_lol:

In fact, all 1400GTR's have build in immobiliser - most 600cc + bikes do these days.

Most insurer ask for the specific immobiliser - would this be 'Kawasaki Ignition System'??

Yes, or just refer to it as the KIPASS system, that's all they will need to know.

Just insured my new(to me) gtr and insurer was happy enough when I told them it was factory fitted kawk security system.
:innocent:
24hours in a day, 24 beers in a case, coincidence?
