O.C.

Looks like winter is starting to bite, well it is up in this corner of the U.K.

I'll be wrapping up well with a few extra layers for the ride out today, anyway a nice sausage butty and a mug of tea will warm me up when we meet for our usual exchange of verbal  :shit: this morning  :mfr_lol:

Anyone else riding out today/this weekend

Just been out for a 60 mile return trip.
Had a bowlful of porridge before hand. It sticks to me ribs and provides an extra layer!

Be grateful you weren't working throughout the night then when the temperatures really dropped.  :mfr_lol:

Rog.. not been on either of my bikes for 2 weeks now  not because it is to cold  but remember that wisdom tooth that the "old boy" said I used as a excuse to cut our ride out short :whistling: my own dentist could not remove the tooth due to it needing surgery and as he described it.. "a tricky job" well after waiting 6 months for a consultant dentist at the dental hospital to remove the "bugger" my appointment came through about 10 days ago and after the consultant and 3 students finished butchering my mouth for one hour and the anesthetic worn off I was in some major pain with aching jaw and bloody ear ache :hammer: it's been 10 days now and still on pain killers :hammer: I honestly don't think there is any thing worse than bastard tooth ache and having a wisdom tooth yank out of your mouth
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Steve I wouldn't even wish the removal of a wisdom tooth on Geoff  the "old boy"  which is just as well really, because I doubt he as any of his own teeth left :mfr_lol:  anyway...  it may only be a tooth, but it as kept me on  co codamol pain killers for 10 days now  and just for good measures I've also a bloody ear ache :hammer:

Well ya should be well used to ear ache.  From Me  :whistling:. Any how all but one of my peggies are still in place, if you dont mind  Plus you must hold the world record, for excuses NOT to ride your bike/s  :sleep1:. Just for the record me and  " The other pensioner" were out today, and yesterday. A bit chilly but hey, we spend thousands on heated allsorts, Gore Tex whatnot, hand guards, bigger screens, the best tyres known to mankind (Not PR 3s), and then what?, sit in the house like frightened rabbits :nono:.   But me and the old fossil, known as "The Lakeland Flyer" upheld the spirit of motorcycling, by being out enjoying our bikes, and the countryside.    PS Didn't clap eyes on ONE GTR all w/end. :surrender:   :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Geoff must I remind you again :whistling: I've got 2 bikes for nice day use so mileage is shared hence low miles on each bike :whistling: and a car for bad day use  I also work full time so don't get as bored as you "old folk" also I feel I should point out that I've done more than my fair share of winter riding in my younger days  when I first got married 30 years ago and did not have a car  I used a bike all year round to ride to work from Liverpool to Northwich 60 mile round trip and all the through winter months I use to ride skid most of the way :sweatdrop: However.. I now I've very comfortable car with heated seats e.t.c  don't even need to put the key in the door lock or in the ignition  just need the fob in my pocket  so as far as riding in the cold is concerned the phrase.. you don't have a dog and bark yourself springs to mind :mfr_lol:
