I know some you owners of the GTR that have not yet defected :whistling: I've fitted day time running lights  and if any others are thinking of fitting day time/night time running lights to their GTR or another bike  I can recommend theses  http://www.2allbuyer.com/1600LM-x2  from Hong Kong which work out at £84.00 the pair with free delivery and only took 5 days to arrive   I never really felt the GTR with it's big headlight and it's big front "presence" or the ZZR with it's two "twin" head lights  needed running lights  but extra lights can only be a good thing  but did feel my Versys 1000 would benefit from extra day time running lights due to the single medium size headlamp, so fitted a set of the above spots which throw out 20 watt "each" which only draw 1.5 amp each via ignition live via push button IP65 rated waterproof switch   P.S. the handle bar switch that with the lights wasn't water proof  so binned that, now hoping those pesky car drivers will see me coming :sweatdrop:
here a few pics to show you what they look like fitted should you wish to invest in a set

waterproof Ip65 rated switch neatly fits in the 12v accessory blank housing
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

That looks like a damn fine motorcycle,  I wished that I had one   :whistling:
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

Good idea, but where and how would extra lights be fitted to the GTR? without the additional expense of fitting crash bars, and I've not seen any 'bars that look that good either...

O.C.

I believe similar lighting arrangements can be attached through suitable bodywork or perhaps to Canyon Cages  :whistling:
BE KIND...

I'm sure that a few GTR owners have fitted day time running lights, think the "boss" Asif did and clamped them onto the fork legs, but there are various clamps and brackets that you can buy to enable the fitment of such lights
here is a GTR with a 2 sets fitted, on engine bars and under the mirrors  wheres there a will there's a way

here is a pair of clamps http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-25mm-CNC-Motorbike-Crash-Bar-Clamps-Brackets-For-Kawasaki-GTR1000-GTR1400-/190963465357?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c764f3c8d  but unless you use brackets of some sort or engine bars not sure where theses clamps could be fitted :undecided: most engine bars are around 26/27mm in tube diameter, but with my versys engine bars being Kawasaki bars they are 30mm in tube diameter and did have trouble finding clamps that would fit around 30mm diameter bar tubing, the spots I went for where theses http://www.2allbuyer.com/1600LM-x2 which have a adjustable clamp size from 22 mm to 34 mm
