Well it's that time of the year again where Mr & Mrs Wolf and the cubs go on holiday and this year instead of going to Cornwall we have ventured down to Devon for a change.
Ok, ok, I know we haven't arrived here on two wheels but because I'm a generous guy I thought I'd share it with you all nevertheless. The car is almost lost in the enormity of the place. The longer length section of the building is split level and is an upside down property, i.e. bedrooms downstairs and lounge etc upstairs.

The place we are staying at is a converted milking shed on a working farm and was converted to rented accommodation in 2003 by the current owners.
This might help you to pinpoint where we are.

The property has some great features internally including an Aga cooker which I've never used before and Mrs Wolf doesn't normally let me cook at home in case I create a disaster but I had a go at cooking something yesterday and it's an impressive piece of equipment.

The benefit of the upside down property is you have some stunning views of the countryside, although I haven't taken any yet immediately around the house.

The dogs seem to like being able to look out over the fields through the French doors.

We only arrived on Friday so we haven't been too far yet and weather has been a bit of a mixed bag but on the whole not too bad. We had a drive out to Hartland Point yesterday to see a lighthouse.

Country life, where people can be trusted with honesty boxes and at the same time you can buy locally produced products, not sure it would work back home though!

We also went to a place called Hartland Quay where we came across some sort of vintage type car, I'm no good at recognising cars so I've no idea what it is.

I tried to take some moody shots of the Coast line, trouble was, it was so bright I couldn't see how the pictures had turned out in the cameras viewfinder so it was a bit hit and miss. This is the same view as the one, three below it I think.

For comparison, a 'normal' shot of the same Coastline.

I'd seen this field with hay rolls in it on the way to the Coast and ideally I should have stopped then as the lighting was better however I waited till I was returning and unfortunately it didn't appear as dramatic as it had earlier done.

Nice Pad Steve.

Car is Austin Healey fyi (that's the one with 2 doors / 2 colours not the 4 door one by your new pad lol)

Pic's look good

Bit worried that you call your brace of gun dogs "cubs" !!!

Why would a homemade jam stall with honesty box not work in downtown Bradford ???

yours confused of south lincs fen  :mfr_lol:

Lonewolf

Charlie, I'm sure Asif will be along shortly to explain to you why an honesty box in Bradford wouldn't work! I take it you've never spent any quality time in Bradford?

O.C.

Looks like the perfect place for some well deserved R & R,

Super property and great countryside too, I hope the weather is good whilst you are there

Hi Steve

Yep I know my life is incomplete as I've not experienced Downtown Bradford yet ....................but looking at Debs recent post of Head Bearing replacement Bradford Style (first detach headstock) should I let the train / plane take the strain when visiting ???

:mfr_lol:

Charlie

PS have a good holiday

Looks nice Steve .... Very nice ... Bet the cubs love it, especially the pigeon killer.
The coastline is so dramatic.
Honesty box ? There are a couple close to us in Sunny Sussex on dog walking routes ... One for jam and the other for fresh eggs ... And the latter have that dark yellow middle with great taste ... Not quite what you get off the supermarket shelf ! Keep enjoying the hols, and of course more piccies !!!

Right here's the second instalment, yesterday, (Sunday) we went to the donkey sanctuary at Sidmouth as we do every year. Today we went to Westward Ho, which was ok, a bit small and not much there but pleasant enough.
The weather was much better today thankfully and we managed a short stroll up and down the sea front.

The apartments in the second photo started from £325k, you could buy a whole street in Bradford for half of that and still have change to go to the dog track and have a pie and pea supper.  :mfr_lol:

Some geezer was trying to find his buried treasure on the beach.

I saw this couple and I thought by eck, he knows how to show a woman a good time.

Tracey insisted that we go to this Gnome reserve she'd seen advertised.  So off we went, please do not tell anyone or I'll lose my street cred!

It looks fairly normal until you venture into the woods. There must be hundred's of the little buggers, they're everywhere even in the bloody trees.

Be warned if you ever go to this place they try to insist that you wear a stupid gnome hat, not bloody likely thank you very much.

Excelle3nt Steve, my parents took us to Sidmouth every year for our annual holidays when I were a nipper, I remember the shingle beach
