Bonjour à tous,

my front fork upper part needs to be repainted due to some hydraulic leak.

Any idea how to remove it? Can it be done without dangerously endenger the bike stability while on central stand?

What time of paint/coating is it?

It is part 44039.

Loosen the two upper fork clamp bolts (number 92153A), and remove the big central steering stem nut (shown in the centre-right of your picture, but no part number visible).

The top yoke will then come off, probably need a bit of force or some taps with a rubber mallet from underneath.

Perfectly safe to do on the centre stand.

I * think* that it is powder coated, but I am not 100% sure.

Martin.
