On monday about 100 bikers [including myself] met at Poole Quay for a memorial ride out to the crash scene of Dan Jones who was a talented footballer and biker..

We had about 10 Marshalls stopping the traffic at lights and roundabouts so we could make good progress without any biker being in danger. We travelled at about 50mph all the way there and back.

We got to the crash scene with no problems and paid our respects.. We then left to carry on to a cafe. On the way off the A35 north we had a few bikers pass us who must have been going home after work.

A copper passed us going the oposite way in an unmarked volvo estate as a biker crossed the white center lines. He then turned round and gave chase, putting all our lives at risk and over taking on blind bends. The video shows him pulling us all up and having a go at us.. The biker who "crossed the white lines" had already gone..

The video and complaints have been passed to Dorset Police...

With Police Officers like this, no wonder no one wants to help them.

That was an terrible  over take by the copper ,   I would have give him a piece of what I thought of his driving ,    Possibly.   From a distance ,   One law for them one for us ,,,,,,

i cant see enough there to lodge a complaint, not from what can be seen on the video, its hard to pursue dangerous driving against a police vehicle as they all undergo rigourous training and check ups.

I agree - absolutely ridiculous driving. It worries me that the arrogance in the personalty of certain police officers carries over to the manner of their driving. Clearly this guys attitude from the off was confrontational and dictatorial.

I've no time for  :asshole:wipes like that and would have no hesitation in reporting him.  Lets face it, he wouldnt think twice about reporting you.

Go for it!

You really had to be there to understand how bad he was driving...

He also stopped us on a bad bend and when the traffic started to build up behind us he told us to move because 'we' were causing problems for traffic trying to get through... He was a  :censored: :asshole: and needs to be  :hammer: then  :gun_bandana:

im sure you are right, i respect your judgement debs,  but anyone judging this incident purely on the video wont see what you saw and i doubt it will progress, you will just get the stock letter of apology ect ect

I guess you are right.. At least we can have a moan to them... We arn't expecting anything more than the "Our officers are highly trained" bull :shit:

It does look a bit dicey, but difficult to tell how much he can see from his angle.

I would probably have been a bit annoyed as there was not an emergency. No one even got booked. Looks like a waste of time and energy to me and a little risky... But then I'm not a police officer with the appropriate training / orders to pull people for crossing white lines...

Strange place to stop a long line of bikers, though.... Any law enforcement officers wish to comment?

O.C.

I reckon he's been watching too many 'Road Wars' type programmes, and then getting out of the wrong side of the bed .

It looked like a very bad place to stop a queue of vulnerable motorcyclist though Debs.....he appears to be an arsehole
BE KIND...

What a fool. Putting lives at risk to stop a bike. He could see even less then we can on the film, clearly he had luch noone was comming the other way.

Hi

If you feel it was that bad then go for it and complain, and hopefully some of the other bikers will as well, if a few people complain about the same event they must take it seriously?

Wont there be a recording from inside the police car?

A complaint has already been made and a story is going to be published in the Bournemouth Echo

What authority did you have to stop traffic at lights/roundabouts etc?

I would be careful complaining and going public if your group were stopping traffic and riding with hazards, illegal number plates etc.

Be the officers actions right or wrong, I wouldn't throw moral stones in a glasshouse...

Dorset Police gave use permission... They were asked to supply escorts for us but were to busy..

Something to do with, if you do a group ride of over a certain number you have to use marshals. Dont know the number but Dorset Police were advised and they advised the organisers to use our own marshals ..

Re the number plate... I did notice that.. If he gets pulled then thats up to him, plus its a MOT failure.
