Had a run today up to Betws Y Coed via the west coast of wales, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Machynchllech, Dolgellau, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws. Then headed off to the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen, Bala and back to the coast and headed home to the south.
The Swallow Falls were not so much a falls but a dribble due to the lack of rain we have had. The camp site, bar and facilities look suitable for a bunch of bikers too.

Viv, hopefully you got my text late last night. Apologies that I couldn't get the time off work.  >:(

Looks a decent enough place for the inaugural GTR Owners meeting.

The tavern bar looked OK it was quiet but then the holiday trade has headed back now after the easter hols. It would be about a fifteen minute walk into Betws itself all downhill. I reckon its a damn fine selection for GTR convention mark one  ;D

That looks really good. Wonder if I can persuade the missus to let me stay overnight ...

That area is very nice and there are some cracking roads around there.  :)

BTW Swallow Falls itself gets absolutely packed during the tourist season  >:(

Kind regards

Well done mate those pics are good .... looks just the right place for us bikers ! I especially like the idea of the bar/tavern/restaurant etc ... hot food and beer on your doorstep ... excellent stuff ! I shall bring a little stove and kettle for that LATE night / EARLY ( ? ) morning british cup o' tea. Looking forward to it more and more.
Have you asked her yet NB ?
