Anyone else had the chance to see Closer to the Edge? Fascinating documentary on the TT with some nice 3D effects thrown in for good measure. Some of the speeds they hit on the TT  :o and the sheer competitiveness is madness.

Its showing as most mainstream cinemas so well worth catching if you can.

Not seen it yet but sounds great ! ... went to the TT nearly 20 years ago to see the late Steve Hislop win The Senior TT on a white Norton .. it was incredible ... getting so close to such fast bikes at their full capacity was awesome and that was a while ago. If you havn't been it really is worth the time effort and money.

I got a TT races DVD for Christmas a couple of years it was so f***ing boring I threw the DVD away. They just went round and round and round.  ::)

Years ago I went to see Silver Dream Machine starring David Essex with a girl I fancied from school. I even bought the LP.  ;D

Is it likely to be as good as that?

Boomer

I went to the TT several times. Way better than 3D TV.
Ya can't beat the smell of burnt Castrol R as a GP500 bike screams past at 160Mph just a couple of feet away. (yes, I'm nearly 48)
3D Smellyvision with super-surround-sound and an infinite palette of colours.

Go see the real thing!

It's on at our local Odeon...I might just drag myself along this weekend to see what all the fuss is about ::)

Rusty

We've gone from the most famous road racing on the planet to ...... " David Essex with a girl I fancied from school  " .... You do make me laugh Mr Wolf !!!!

Its no laughing matter. I expect to see David Essex at least having a cameo part.  ;D Its not cheap going to the flicks these days. I went to see Fast & Furious 5 yesterday and it was £15.80 for two of us!! Day light robbery.  :o

Just think yerselves lucky it wasnt the Video of him in 3D going up & down the Canal in his Barge....same bloke is it not.
I did see a DVD that came with Bike mag few year ago of on bike footage...Hislop was one of them , that was quite impressive.. So was looking forward to this film.
