Just returned from a 3 day ride out with my mates. Started by going down to the New Forest on Friday, off to Bristol to the Italian BIAMF day in the old city centre on Saturday and then early start this morning from Banbury to Silverstone for the Kawasaki day there.

Arrived at 8.45 and booked myself, with my mate on his Versys, on the Stowe Circuit track experience.

By 9.20 we were being briefed and then I jumped on the GTR in the car park amongst a sea of Ninja's and ZZR's etc and rode through the pits to the starting line. Had a couple of thumbs up from marshalls when they saw the GTR and a "Well done, go for it mate".

After 3 sighting laps they let us out one at a time from the pits to have our own 5 laps of fun and I pinned it.

Didn't take her out of 2nd gear from start to finish. Hauled in the Ninja's no problem down the back straight, the kick of the ol' girl from 40 out of the bends to 90ish down the back straight  was amazing.

Bought the photos to prove what a great time I had. Will try to post some.

Lets try another. Me leading the pack on the GTR. Shame they made me wear the Hi Viz because I hadn't done a track day before.

Oh well.

It was a very well organised day .  Congratulations to Kawasaki for doing it so well.  I went with a group of KRC members from The New Forest area and Ihad 2 sessions on the Stowe circuit.  My dear 15 year
old ZX(r didn't disgrace and nothing went past me out iof the corners or on the straights.  Going into corners was a different story, though.  Note to self:  Just get on and buy thoise new discs!!

Saw about 115 on the back straight and about 95 on the front straight

My nipper took his 2004 ZX10R and also did a session on the International circuit.  Good way to wear out road tyres.

Saw all the Bmth Kawasaki riders and Ross managed to get 4 sessions on the Stowe circuit.  Last was was fast, really fast.

Thought about keeping the panniers on Coman but didn't want to take the p*ss out of too many Ninja owners. Must pay tribute to Kawasaki for the day. I would have paid very good money for the experience and it was all free.
And the track guys who took us out, 100 mph sitting facing backwards pointing out the turn in points Amazing guys.  :punk:

You will be pleased to know that I kept my panniers on plus the top box.... Had a great time on the circuit but missed the corner at the end of the main straight and had to go through the cones... haha.. I was passed by a few but that didn't bother me..

I wanted to go on the international course but couldn't find the entrance

It was a great day out with a great bunch of guys..

Debs,

If only a few of us had made plans to all meet there it would have been good to say Hi.
