I have a new bike,......
Ok, it's not that new,... and it's nearly not a bike,...... and it's not actually mine.

I seem to have a Honda in my garage  :helpsmilie:
My brother-in-sin brought me a neglected CB250N Superdream to get running for him.
It's a bit of a heap but I look forward to the day it's rideable and legal as I am going to thrash the  :shit: out of it.  :punk: :mfr_lol:

Had fun extracting one of the sparkplugs and the rear mudguard disintegrated when I took it out and the wiring is a right bloody mess but the motor seems sound and the rest of it ain't so bad for a 32 year old 43,000 mile bike. Fleabay is supplying most of the stuff needed, brother-in-sin is paying for the parts and I joined the Superdream forum for assistance.

Anyone on here ever had a WetDream? I had a Yamaha XS250 in the early 80's but that's as close as I ever got to one.

Had 5 of them over the years.

Last one was at least 20 years ago.

Good little bikes back then, underpowered, but felt like a big bike (by 80's standards!!)

Cam chain tensioners were always a PITA,  Used to have get the engine running then get a (12mm?) spanner behind the cylinders and unfasten then re-tighten the tensioner nut.  Many a burnt wrist and chafed knuckle...

I had the Honda CB 250T Dream (Not the Superdream) Thought it was a really nice bike at the time as it was my first after passing my test and saying bye to the Honda 90 chicken chaser..  :mfr_lol:

Wow ... that brings back the memories ... I certainly remember the "250 Super Dream" .. but alas at the time it was beyond my budget ... about £2000 ? Can anyone clarify prices in those days ?

If I recall the CB250N Superdream was £899.00 OTR about 1980!
