Still awake, and at least i now know what all the references to pink armbands are.

You say that people on this forum took the piss out of you over them, i must say i'm stunned....People on here just don't seem the type. :-D

Oh yes the pink armbands, I wear them in the summer time on my black jacket,( flo yellow for winter), and when I first met some of the boys off here they were extremely cruel to me(Bully boys) regarding my pink armbands, in fact they ripped the p  s out of me. One in particular who shall remain nameless( It was Steve Lonewolf ) has been on my case about the pinkness of my armbands ever since, but, being of advanced years( I'm 65 ya know) I have learned not to let younger folk upset me, so now I wear the world famous armbands just for spite. The upside of all this is the fact that I have turned into some kind of motorcycling legend, and my fame is spreading like wildfire. I can see the day dawning when I make guest appearances at motorcycle events, and have famous folk asking if they can come on a follow the pink armbands tour, of course at this stage I must mention a man who without him none of this could have happened, a man who I refer to as my " Rear gunner" Yes step forward Roger ( old coney). So that in a nutshell is the legend of the pink armbands, I do hope you are still awake!!!! but you did ask.

And just to qualify Geoff's comment............. I'm the rear gunner (in a non biblical sense) whilst we are out on tour
