Sadly, if you wafted a kipper under some peoples nose they still wouldn't smell it

Whilst driving a wagon I was once hit by this dozey bugger of a woman who said she didn't see the wagon because it had its LED warning lights and rotating beacons flashing .......WTF

I like the idea of cameras on bikes, if you aren't being an arse and God forbid you come a cropper and get knocked off by some clutz I would suggest they would be worth their weight in gold in establishing blameand supporting your account. The GTR is the largest, and most well equipped bike I have ever owned for having numerous effective headlights. I always wear my hi viz so I would like to believe that I should be able to be seen, but obviously that doesnt mean I will be seen and I never take anything or granted. But where do you draw the line?

Yes they are bright - but I prefer them that way. Too many near misses with car drivers that tell me they didn't see me - actually had 6 headlights on my goldwing (they are good for that) and a Renualt Megane still came onto my side of the road when trying to get ahead of traffic to a road junction and took me out. Then said he didn't see me.

It's for my peace of mind not theirs. And yes the GTR lights are brilliant as they are. Once the canyon bars are fitted there will be another set of lights on that too  just need to save the pennies to purchase the bars....

Regarding the camera on the front - I do a lot of touring and like to have the reminders of the great roads abroad. I don't need any excuse to be an idiot on the bike. I have managed to survive 36 years with the only accidents being car drivers without a thought. BTW I drive too and understand it can be difficult at times to see these bikes as they are soooo quick at times. I have had near misses too but the camera doesn't influence the way I ride.
pete.. take  "bread potus" of my 2 penneth worth  I'm one of thoses riders that have also been riding bikes since 1976 and thankfully, I've managed to survive my "ride fast die young" attitdude days. I wasn't implying that you are not wise or experienced enough not to know the dangers of becoming to complacent when riding "high powerd motorcycles" on todays roads  I was just pointing out that car drivers can look straite at bikers and still not see you no matter what precautions we take. As far as cameras are concearned, if there being used by the rider that have nothing to prove, their fine  but some riders tend to grow horns and ride beyond their capabilities or film a mate who wants to look as good as possible when it's played back to friends, I just don't want to be going around a bend when one of theses idiots takes the bend to fast and runs wide, then straite into me
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Ps ... I know it's not light related and completely off topic but as you are here ... How is the ZZR going ?  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
well have no regrets yet  I had my gt1400 for 2 years toured france, italy, cornwall, devon, cotswolds and scotland and it's defo the best full tourer on the market  even better than the "SIX" sorry Winston Smith  I've always had a middleweight supersport  but think I'm getting to old for them crotch rockets now  I had the 2008 zzr1400 before I got my gtr1400 and found it to be a excellent allrounder  I only wanted one bike, but it needed to be as good as "possible" as the gtr for touring and be able to handle the twisties as good as "possible" as the zx6r and the 2013 model zzr1441 ticks theses boxes  all I need now is some decent weather so I can start enjoying the zzr because I've not used it for 4 weeks since having it's first service done at 603 miles  roll on the better weather

I was devastated, so much so that Rusty and I are going this year, have I mentioned that yet?  :whistling:
