Hi folks, I wondering what tyre repair kits you all use / have in a pannier. I have the wee kit that comes with the cement , oblong shape plugs and 3 gas cynlinders. I stumbled on a you tube clip of a Stop N go kit that looked much easier to use and more methodical. It used mushroom bungs that are forced into the hole with a fitment with an allen key. Thanks, Donald

I carry one of these, and haven't had to use it yet, I believe there is an instruction video on Youtube.

You should avoid any kit which has a foam or similar as it will knacker your tyre pressure sensors which are expensive (very) to replace...ask 2 kwacks

+1. I also carry the same kit and as yet have never had to use it. Long may it continue  :punk:
Better to be old and grey than the alternative!

Rusty

They are well worth having .... Whichever make or model you go for you just need enough to get you to a dealer or your HA .... Pop it in the top box and forget about it !

Bryn

Used them a couple of times in anger.. once on a HP2 rear and once on a Guzzi... both to help another biker out... worked well

Karma hopefully means I won't have to use the kit on my own bike  :ohplease:

I've used this sort of  repair kit, really good stuff. It's only designed to get you home but I managed a fair bit more mileage than that!

If it stays up to get me home i'd be inclined to consider it fixed  :smartass:

Stoner

I always carry one of these with me every where I go... They are from Stop&Go... Rubber Mushroom Tyre Repair Kit.

Great Stuff!

rippers

Try Dynaplug. Really easy and quite small to carry. Ignore any posts you see about it only being good for temp repairs. As you will see from attached information the manufacturer says it is a permanant repair.

Sorry about it being upside down. I have tried to attach it again and the site will not take it. But you should be able to make out it is a permanant repair. Good bit of kit so simple to use.

That looks like a great idea, and very compact for carrying on a bike, a definite addition to any bikers emergency kit.....  I bet its not so quick and easy when your tyre is totally deflated though.....

and its raining,

and its dark,

and your miles from home,

and your tired

Funny how you never get flat tyres on bright sunny warm days whilst parked in your drive at home    :mfr_lol:

Since I posted I was thinking, how many of us carry a torch in our emergency kit  ?
