I am new to this GTR forum and pretty green when it comes to any forum or high tech computer thingys.
However I think a site like this could do us all a favour or two. Dare I suggest that we each tell what line of trade or business we are in so that we could offer help and adviced to members of the forum?
While I cannot give advice in certain areas, I am qualified and experienced in may aspects of financial services, particularly debt management, Insurance and complaints handling. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask, otherwise I will not intrude on the subject any further. Cheers ChrisB..

Kawdolph

Not a bad idea ,unfortunately im from ireland so really cant help to much but i work in an airport.

Lonewolf

Chris, good idea. Generally forums such as this offer the user anonymity to whatever extent they care to excercise.
I personally dont have an issue with people knowing what I do for a living, they either accept me for who I am, or they dont ;D

Dare I start this off......I have a background in criminal law.  ;)

I make crude oil derived products such as petrol, diesel and kerosene, sadly unable to offer staff discounts

fatharry

I make commercial/industrial light fittings......might be able to help anyone who needs new lights for their shed, or maybe security floodlights in the back garden

do have access to companies who can help with metalwork/powder coating
It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Rusty

If this kicks off then we would need a list ... like the members list .... can someone with a bit more IT skills than me do this ?
I deal in anything relating to " Quick , dial 999 and ask for Police " ........

Putting your location may help generate some work from guys on here as finding a competent tradesman is difficult - assuming you are competent (only kidding)

Boomer

I'm an IT boy as well.
I know SQL databases, document management systems, and more recently Radiation Oncology (Radiotherapy) management systems as well as a fair bit about general and corporate IT.
I'm a fair to middlin' mechanic (know GTR1000 inside-out), qualified electronics engineer and a radio-ham.
I speak fluent Francais, middlin Nederlands & Deutsch and basic Svenska.
