Silly question time again, (My Apologies)!!

I am in the process of fitting the Garmin Zumo 660 to the bike.  I have located the 2 Accesory wires hidden under the LHS Rubber Shround. They dont give you any slack do they!!!!  :mfr_lol:

Anyhow,  I see that one of the wires is black with a Yellow stripe, the other is just black.  Am I right in thinking the Black with yellow stripe is the one I attach the Red Garmin wire to :embarrassed:

And then the Black goes to Black??

Did not want to start crimping the Male and female bullet connectors to the Garmin charger Wires to find I have them the wrong way round.

Darren, the wires are as follows

Black & Yellow (-)
Black (+)

This applies to both sets of accessory wires, those front left fairing and also those under the rear seat latch

Thank's OC, Figured I had a 50 / 50 chance of getting it wrong and I did.

Anyway, just got back in after changing the bullet connectors over and now it's working as it should.

I removed the Glove box and have found space behind there for the spare wires to sit so just need to tidy the original wiring back up, put the boot back over and put the looms back into the plastic clip and we are good to go.

Can't wait to get out now and try it all out.

Glad its fixed, and you are right there isn't much spare cable on those connections...Thanks KHI  :2guns:

Daz, I just got mine connected up last week and I stuffed my spare cables from the Zumo down the back of the glove box as you seem to have done. Why does there need to be so many cables?

Can't believe you asked that question Steve.....its got summat to do with all the electronics on the bike methinks   :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

It is odd though that there seems to be an excess of wiring in some areas and yet KHI leave you little or no chance of working with the minute amount of accessory cables they provide

Roger, I meant all the cables coming from the sat nav. I've no idea what any of them are for. They just get in the way and create more bulk.
