for a while now my mate as always stated the b.m.w 1000rr is the quickest road bike on the planet, I've always stuck up for the zzr1400 and now the new model zzr1400 is on the block. it as only back up my argument  untill now that is..! mate as just sent me theses 2 clips of the b.m.w 1000r v gsxr1000r and  b.m.w 1000r v zx10r :sweatdrop: that b.m.w is bloody quick  think the new model zzr1400 as got its work cut out  so sent him clip 3  the b.m.w 1000r could not hold off the hayabusa  which he as agreed the hayabusa is not a match for the new model zzr1400  but to be fair, the busa did have work done to boost the b.h.p just hope he dosen't notice that :whistling:

getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

O.C.

TBH Dave I don't see the point of having a bike that is capable of whatever mph when you cant legally take it to those limits anyway.

Maybe one of the bikes shown in the clips is a nano second quicker than the other, which is ok for bragging rights, but in all honesty, so what
BE KIND...

The later you brake the longer you go fast.

Oh dear, just to clarify Dave , I wasn't having a go at you personally, which I think is what you have interpreted (sorry I got a bit lost with your use of emoticons)

My comments were, as the always have been, aimed at the continual competition between simular bikes and their relative minute performance differences.

Its a method used by Journalists and marketing folk to sell their products, and I don't see the point.

Maybe if they marketed a good, well equipped touring bike which was reasonably priced and was able to return on average more than, say, 60mpg, now that would be summat to crow about

:agree:  Not sure of the point of doing those kind of speeds on public roads. Perhaps we should ask the opinion of the rider who was recently caught doing 151MPH in West Sussex. He got banned for 12 months, has to do 200 hours of unpaid work and has to pay £600 costs. And I am not having a dig at you either Dave.
Better to be old and grey than the alternative!
