took a b.m.w rt1200 to the dealers in the week for warranty work, talking to one of the salesmen about the all new b.m.w ss 1000 rr hp4 apart from being a complete new bike from the previous ss1000 rr it now as the most advanced electronically adjustable suspension system which will actually adjust to riding conditions and road surfaces. the price will be around the £20,000 mark  here is a quick review.. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/New-bikes/2012/July/jul2712-advanced-s1000rr-revealed/ guess that puts me out of the running  ... and steve! before you suggest that I tell the wife it was half price! not even I'm mad enough to spend £20,000 on 2 wheels
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Rusty

Oh come on mate .. 3 bikes in the garage would look good !
There are 3 at work .. the S1000RR's .. not job bikes I have to say ... and the owners state they are simply fantastic bikes .. they certainly look the business.
Like the Gtr's and everything else on 2 wheels the depreciation is terrible ... one on E bay tonight ... March 2010 with 7/8000 miles on it for 8 and a bit with Akro exhaust .. up in Leeds I think. That's a drop of nearly £5000 in 2 years AND it has all the bells and whistles.
Just get one ...

O.C.

I'm too olde for these new fangled things  :whistling:

Yup... tis wonderfull having all the kit and latest bike..

but if you can't ride the thing properly then whats the point.  you just look like an utter knob when ya turn up at the bike shop with a kawasuki 9000 rrr  turbonutterbastard in a dodgey set of race leathers and chicken strips the size of Wales.

I always have massive respect for the rider says. 'crack on mate I'm happy riding about what I know i can use'
She is like the Bumblebee, she should not fly....... and yet she does!
