see your point. but can not see it working to well, the shite comes from the sides as well so can not see how a fenda would be fiitted between the panniers and the tyre! it may stop some of the shit from flinging up from the tyre at the bottom of the number plate, if some type of fenda extender was fitted under neath the number plate, but think a fenda would look out of place there, so best option is to clean the shit off regular! at least with the hugger it dose a fine job of keeping the shock,undertray,e.t.c which are the harder to reach places clean.

Ordered my hugger on 3rd march and hey presto it arrived today, four days later and thats taking the weekend into consideration. Now thats great service. Also I am very impressed with the hugger, its solid, not like some that appear a bit flimsy.

Hopefully I'll manage to get it fitted in the next few days in between work.

First day off work today where I have had an opportunity to put the hugger on. It is actually a very simple job, the only bit I found a bit faffy was undoing the nut from the support bolt of the exhaust, the one directly underneath the rear brake lever. You cant see it so its all done by feel and it was difficult to gauge what size spanner I needed. For future reference, its a 14mm.

The exhaust had to come off too, it just gets in the way otherwise. The gasket was in good shape so no dramas there either.

Looking at those pics now, I'm thinking I perhaps should have cleaned the undertray first.... ;D

acf-50 oil, fs365 scotoil or even some wd/40. would keep the corrosion at bay!
