well had a brillant time over the 8 days, first night in reims france, second night in albertville france, third and forth night verona italy where we visited lake garda, fifth night in gerona italy, paid a visit to monte carlo and the famous casino, stopped for few a few minutes to take the photo and two cops came running over hands on guns ordering us to move, never seen so many ferraris in one place before. on the sixth night started to make our way home, stopped over at a nice place called "gap" in the french alps, seventh night stopped over at charmont in france, left at 08.00 and arrived home at 22.00 hours, we did plan on stopping at saint quentin but we made such good time we carried on to cali, where then it was decided to jump a early train and stopped over in ashford, but it was nice weather so we just cracked on. from 08.00 hrs till 22.00 hrs 722 miles and the gtr done it with extreme ease ho.. the gtr managed to average 54.4 m.p.g on eco mode, but that was cruising at 140 km's approx 90 m.p.h most of the time. mind you my mate on his hayabusa look like he had  :shit: him self when he walked.. every time we stopped for fuel on our way home  but I did  him for handling the long non stopped return home from charmont. here is a few pics, will try to remember where they were taken  will post a few more when I've more time.
this is where it all started..

first night in reims parking the bikes up..

then we where soon joined by some other bikers..

verona italy..

verona italy again! this guy and woman had loads of us baffled, there was nothing except the pole holding the woman up, we all had a good look around and I'm still baffled now on how they done it. there was nothing holding the girl up except the pole, she was not sitting on anything just holding the pole, and there was nothing above holding her. any suggestions then how it was achieved?

this was a lake we came across, where we had to stop and go for a dip..

a very nice moto guzzie we came across while in lake garda italy..

me the proud owner of the gtr in verona italy..

monte carlo casino..

looking down on monte carlo..

looking down on monte carlo..

hotel we stayed in at verona italy..

another stop for a cold drink, little town just outside verona..

me and my mate enjoying a gold beer charmont france.. p.s noticed what my t/shirt says

finding parking in verona is a challenge in it-self, the nearest we could find to the hotel was a 15 min walk, you can just see my mate to the right parking is hayabusa up, I eventually found this place, as a scooter pulled I sneaked in.

a nice view and lake garda isn't that bad either

another view over lake garda..

this was the same pub we had a few beers last time we went to reims town..

just one of many yachts at gerona italy..

view of verona town trams..

leaving italy on the way to monti carlo

big green house in port of gerona :undecided:

even jack sparrow had moored his ship in gerona port.

another very expensive yacht in gerona

the hotel on our last night in charmont france 722 miles and 12 hours later I was in my own bed. and the gtr made the ride very manageable all the way home

after leaving monte carlo we stop just before the french alps for bite to eat..

yet another stop for a cold drink and a look around just before the italian border..

verona italy is full of those dam scooters..

hotel in albertville france, just leaving for italy..

leaving gerona italy for south of france, time to stop to dry out after it rained briefly..

You'll have to tell me all about it when next we meet up. Is that your mate who won the Busa?

Dave ... those photos are really great .... what a good time you had ! I was in Reims a few years ago during a Champagne tour / trip and it was a truly beautiful place that I would certainly go back to ... at the time decked out with Union Jacks ( NOT Union Flags !!! ) for the D day celebrations etc .... I like the Busa, but i have no doubt the Gtr was most comfy !
Stunning views of Monte Carlo

 Mr rusty... was very impressed with the gtr  very comfortable and handled the hairpin bends in the alps with ease .. Ho..  but we already know the gtr is the tourer to have :whistling: I do like the b.m.w 1600 gt but not the price! not everyone can afford the £20,000 price tag :whistling: :whistling: anyway I prefer the sportier gtr, the best of both worlds hey!!
