I know AussieDave (RIP) did a guide on cleaning the fuel filter. Unfortunately those pics have disappeared. I've seen some on the American forum but they aren't in detail.

Has anyone got pics?

Why would you want to clean the filter ? Why not just get a new one ??

You can't buy the filter separate. You have to buy the whole unit with is expensive.

dont know if this helps as ive not seen the filter on the GTR , but my zzr12 has a filter unit that has no replacable parts, i took it apart by snapping open the plastic case , cleaned all the insie out with solvent and snapped back together again, it does not have a renewable paper filter. It is only the size of a c size battery

Looks like I'll be doing a guide on this then.

Five things on my to do list:

1. Change tank
2. Clean fuel filter
3. Bleed brakes and clutch
4. Check discs as per Viper's guide
5. Valve adjustment  Although I might get a quote from the dealer on this one. I wouldn't mind doing it but it'll take forever
