I noticed a couple of the bikes at the recent Lower Lode meet had changed the two front running lights under the headlights swapped out for blue led bulbs.
Are they okay legally ??
Been told that as long as they don't flash on and off , and are of low wattage , they are probably okay.
Quite like the look of them.

Hi Wiltsguy.

I have changed mine to the blue ones, really simple and cheap, it certainly gets the car drivers attention when filtering, I have spoken to a local plod who said he was not bothered by them but should you race around like a loony some might get the hump.

I notice there are no instructions in the owners handbook for changing these bulbs. So how is it done? Looks like you can simply reach behind fairing. Is this the correct way?

Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

You need a thin screwdriver or some pointy item, lie on your back and look underneath the headlight above the mudguard and you will see a little panel held on with four of the usual clips, you push the centre up and out they pop, I did mine in less than two minutes.

Done it now. Bulbs were just under a tenner from Halfords.
Took a bit longer than BigAlan though - relocating the plate under the nose was a bit of a fiddle.

Also got the 3,750 mile service done at Vardy Racing in Swindon.
No faults found and all fluids and filters changed. He also stripped , cleaned and rebuilt all the calipers.  Two hours labour plus parts . Cost £111.38. Seems like a deal to me.

And he's a bigK registered techie.

Got high intensity blue lights as my running lights and just passed MOT with no questions asked. Just advisor on my ' noisy ' exhaust. :biker3:

Ordered blue LED's from eBay, £1.95, fitted in minutes, work great, look great with my blue bike. Happy days
