Hi All

I hope that i have done this right, as their is no guidance that i can find to introduce myself.

I met Geoff (100milesaway) at a bikers breakfast in Knowle Green last week, who told me about this site.

My name is Glen (knightraider)

The reason for the purchase of the GTR is because it was a Silver Anniversary Present from my wife, as i test rode a few different bikes and liked the GTR best, hence the purchase.

I live in Halifax, West Yorkshire and purchased my GTR in November 2011, colour Green.

I am married with 1 daughter who has now just got a job as a college lecturer in Bromley, Kent.

I also own a 1980 Honda CX 500 which is a work bike. 1992 Suzuki GSX100F.

I am a Christian and a member of the CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) and attend St. George's Church, Lee Mount, Ovenden, Halifax.

Welcome aboard Glen.
I'll be nearby next week.
Am coming up for an Uncles funeral in Elland.
Won't be on the bike though.

Sorry to hear that.

We will be in Nottingham next week, which is a pity as we could have met up, if you were free due to your commitments.

Hi Glen and welcome to the forum.

I live around the corner in Hudds and can be seen on a black GTR. I have seen another black GTR in Halifax, but not a green one.

Hope you're enjoying the bike (even in this miserable weather)

Sorry to hear about your Uncle. How long are you intending to stay? We could get together for a curry in Bradford. LW knows some decent curry houses (allegedly)

Ah Glen !!!! at last you finally made it.  :185: aboard and enjoy your time with us, as you have already noticed there is lots of help and advice available right here, anything you need just ask. Keep the posts coming. Just  to let you know your story about the radiator  encouraged me to pick the phone up on the Monday morning, and order a Boewolf radiator cover, which now adorns my bike, and very nice it looks too.

Glen, from reading your above post I too believe I have met you. Cast your mind back, possibly two years to Hipperholme at Halifax. You were on your Honda CX 500 and there was an incident where your bike sustained some minor damage from a collision. I think you lost a mirror or brake/clutch lever after a car moved out into your path.

I remember the rider saying that they were a Christian and a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

Was this you?

Welcome Glen ... as you have already found out this is a great place to be ..... I am sure we will see you at the 2013 meet up .. wherever that will be !!

O.C.

Glen welcome to this forum

there's a great bunch of people on here, some of them are quite old, in fact even older (and probably wiser) than me  :mfr_lol:

Yes it was me that you stopped and asked if i was OK. Thank you, it was reassuring for me.

Just some minor bruising and scrapes.

Bike repaired and the claim went in my favour.

I used a No win No Fee company who was very good in keeping me informed all the way.

The company is called if anybody needs one is:- afteraccident care team ltd. free phone 08000234147 based in Sowerby Bridge. Just them that i have recommended them and give my name. (Glen Knight)
