Just wondering how you all safeguard your loved ones?  With the whole KIPASS thingy and immobiliser do you trust it to be safe or do you use anything else? Padlock, disk lock, etc.

I find the idea of just getting near the bike and being able to start it straight away and riding off very appealing. I bought a heavy duty oxford chain when I bought the bike but don't use it anymore.

And does anyone have additional security (data tagging etc) which has succesfully reduced their insurance premiums.

thatham ground anchor and lock for front wheel and thatcham  ground anchor and lock for rear wheel, disc lock for front wheel, internal alarmed garage , hey i live in gunchester

Hmm, but what about when you are away fom home and have to leave your security detail at home?

I do remember years ago paying an Equadorian with a shotgun $5 to look after my car for the night in Quito! Not sure if gunchester is worse!!!

Kipass system is good enough for me. If someone wants it, they'll just take it anyway. Thats why I have insurance.

KIPASS was good enough for me. As Steve says, if they want it they'll take it.

When I tour in UK I use a disc lock (visual deterrent for the passing scum).

In Europe don't really bother unless in a city hotel, then we usually daisy chain bikes together with a couple of locks - cable or chain.

Four is fun.  Six is sex.
