Without covering old ground (I suppose); I've just made an appointment with Tony Archer seats in Huddersfield.  I'm looking to have the seat lowered as my 31" legs are precariously balancing about 300kg of GTR everytime I stop.  I know design is a personal preference but, should I be aiming for something in particular.  My son said I should get some (David Brent) Cuban Heels...you can still get them; apparently!

That's my neck of the woods. When are you going there?
He is very good.

I'm about 30" inside leg possibly 31" if I absolutely stretch, and never had a problem.
I've had a seat done before by Mr Archer for a Honda CB1300 and he did a very good job.

Dropping my seat off on Sat 9th.  He said it would be ready after a few hours if I just wanted it lowering, but I'm after it being recovered in something a little better than the 2tone design that's on it at the mo.  Probably pick it up the following week.  He mentioned that he'd done 2 GTRs recently?  My wife stood on the pegs to get on the back the other day...blimey, I thought it was going over!

One of them would be my seat. I think Kevin has had his done from there as well.

Hopefully you're happy with yours?  Mr Archer said that he'd only be able to lower it by about an inch because of the makeup of the seat itself, which is ok for me.  Looking forward to getting out for a ride you all soon.

Mr RR, I'm off to Seaways at Fridaythorpe on Sunday, possibly Kwikasfuki is going as well. Your welcome to come too if you are available.

Coming from Lancashire I have gills and webbed feet. It's not the rain that bothers me, if anything it's tetley beer!

I thought your bike only ever travelled the roads of North Yorkshire. Why not join me and go somewhere different.
