Got home late last night and dropped my keys as I went to open the garage door.
Picked them up, bike away, bed time.
Went out on the bike this morning, when I arrived at destination, noticed the small spare key was missing from the transponder.
Got home and hunted about in the gravel, and found the key.
So be aware, if you drop your transponder, make sure the spare key has not popped out. Not sure how it happened and may be a one off thing, but worth checking.

I think they have propensity for popping out as mine has several times. (I do of course mean the spare key!!)

just in the process of getting a spare cut so i can put it with my topbox key, i will then heed your advice and put a pit of taper over to secure mine

Boomer

Already have spares, but this is one reason for keeping the fob in a jacket pocket.
Having the fob attached to your keys is kinda pointless.

Yep, I'm with Boomer. Simply put the fob in a zipped internal pocket on the jacket I always use and you can just forget about it. Safe as houses.

Irrespective of where the fob is kept, the possibility remains that if it is dropped, there is a chance for the spare key to fall out.
Which is what my original post was about.

I've owned two GTR's now during a period of almost two and a half years, so far, touch wood, my tackle has never fallen out yet.  :whistling:

Thank God for that ... Northern tackle spilled out everywhere .......... :nuke: :nuke:
