Just booked mine in for it's second service now done 4k miles and with me getting a puncture in the rear I have decided to replace the the tyre with a Brigestone 023 the idea being that by the time they both need changing I will put the PR3's on but for now with the front being ok this is best.

Cost of the service plus the tyre is £300 and they are going to investigate the noise and vibration at the front because it's pising me right off.

Apart from this I wish I had bought a GTR four years ago before wasting my hard earned on two Sprint ST's

I've used Premier Bikes in Didcot for the last service and for tyres.

So far impressed with the service and prices.

My bike was new in Sept 2011 and as its one of a few in my stable I only had the 600 mile service a few weeks ago. My question now is.............................

I am unlikely to hit 4000miles in a year so..............it will be serviced at the 12 month interval.

Is this 12 months from last September when it was new, despite the 600 mile service on 6th April 2012 or is it now 12 months from 6th April?
:undecided:
I know 4000 miles is 4000 miles.... :smartass:

I have not asked my dealer yet, as I think they will say Sept anyway to fleece me! :sweatdrop:

Twelve months between services.  So twelve months from 6 April
Four is fun.  Six is sex.

Just dropped the bike off with Premier Bikes in Didcot for its second service and collected a KTM 990 super moto bike for a loan, for some reason the front wheel wants to fly?

I will report back on my vibration issue later.

Just had the call from the dealer, all serviced and ready for collection, not sure of the price but thats not an isue, they have discovered the front disks warped.....i did tell them i suspected it was this and they are going to replace them under warranty.

I guess this will occur again sometime in the future so do we have a definate way of curing this problem? is it a matter of using the pre 2011 disk pads or what?

If it happens again i shall insist they put aftermarket disks on and give them a try, i cant be doing with bent disks every six months or 4000 miles.

Hell of a bike otherwise tho this super black 2011 version, much better than any other colour  :mfr_lol:

I take it the discs are the cause of the vibration issue then?

That's what the guy said so replacement disks going to be fitted under warranty.

Again I shall keep this posted so we all have an idea of what's going on.

I thought the warped disc issue was only evident on pre 2010 models.
Can anyone point a finger and say what's actually causing the warping in the first place?

I would like to know also, because if it happens again I need some ammo to walk into the dealer with.
