This guy is a genius, even non-engineering types will like this.

Watch it until the end

keith

that is absolutely brilliant,,the man is a genius if i am not  too busy with work this weekend i think i will knock out a v 20 !!!! when it is finished i will post some pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

viper

Absolutely amazing.
Im curious if it was running on petrol as I could not see any ht leads ect, maybe it was diesel or running on compressed air, seemed too quiet for internal combustion.

Bondu

Apparently it's a diesel

zedmeister

Amazing, would love to know the cc and power output.
get a grip and deal with it

It was alright I suppose but it did drag on a bit.

Boomer

No way is that a diesel. With those tiny silencers it would be deafening.
It's running on compressed air so is not a real engine, just a complicated 12 cylinder pump.
There are no carbs, no fuel injection, no throttle linkage, no glowplugs or spark plugs,.. etc.
Pretty toy, not a real engine.

Now that's a working aircooled V12

My apologies, it is indeed powered by compressed air, still an engineering marvel though:

'Anyone who appreciates the precision art of engine design ought to get a kick out of this offering from a Spanish engineer named Patelo. Starting with hunks of aluminum, bronze and stainless steel, he spent over 1200 hours designing, milling, turning and drilling what he claims is "probably" the world's smallest V12 engine. Powered by compressed air injection (0.1kg/sq cm), this little marvel boasts a total displacement of 12 cubic centimeters from its twelve 11.3 mm diameter pistons and works like a charm. Best of all, you can see it come together in the detailed video that follows.'
