Put the GTR in for its first MOT today, passed with flying colours, partly the low mileage(5000mls) and being well looked after by previous owner and now myself. Tyres are close to replacement, suggestions please, dry fast use mainly. Checked disc thickness as seems a concern of many, 4.8mm on both(checked the ZZR as well, also just MOT'd last week but 11000mls, 4.7mm each side) So not chocolate discs as some have said. Maybe just a bad batch. Fitted secure camera mounts to the GTR and the ZZR. Always nervous when drilling into pristine panels !!! but worked out ok. Coppaslipped the pads as they were singing a bit, all in all a good day pottering

I fitted PR2s to a previous GTR and they were great..soooooooo I reckon PR3s are the way to go, although I haven't tried them myself

They do seem to be tyre of choice and I'll be fitting them when my GTR is due for a fresh pair of boots.
