No I haven't tried it since I now have a C3 as well.
One reason I bought one of those is that you don't have to carry another visor around in case it gets dark.
Nothing worse than getting caught out with a tinted visor in the dark.
Well, a tinted pinlock is probably better than a tinted visor but doesn't beat a sunvisor like in the C3 or Shoei Novotech.
But where do you stash it once you've taken it off on the road?
Swapping pinlocks all the time isn't a good idea either.
They get dirty or scratched, the pins break and they don't sit properly half of the time.
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

Mecki - the Pinlock Roger is on about is light sensitive - goes from clear to tint according to conditions.  No need to change visors or Pinlocks.

I've used Pinlock (clear) on visors for the past 10 years or so, regularly changing visor if weather/lighting conditions dictate.

Never had one scratched yet.  Once in place and seated you don't need to take them off so pin breakage shouldn't be an issue.

The only reason to remove a Pinlock would be to clean the visor, but as it seals to the inside of the visor I've never had a dirty visor (inside the double glazing)

:agree: +1 Chris

I was looking at the light sensitive variety, which it appears aint available (as yet) for the C3, which is not surprising really given that the C3 has a drop down visor as standard

But I was wondering if it would work alongside the C3 visor, and provide extra protection on very bright/sunny days.

Never used a light sensitive pinlock but have used a clear one for the past 4 years & found it invaluable in stopping the visor misting even in the worst conditions. I will be purchasing a C3 in the near future & will use a clear pinlock from day one.

:listencarefully: I have a clear and a tinted visor for my old Shoei Multitech.
I first tried wearing sunglasses and found that very uncomfortable so I bought a tinted visor after a while.
But since I only had one pinlock I took it off the clear one and put it on the tinted one and vice versa whenever I needed to swap visors.
That's why I have some experience - and not good ones - with frequently taking a pinlock off one and putting it on another visor.
After a pin popped on one visor I bit the bullet and bought a second pinlock for the tinted visor as well.

BTW the C3 comes with a clear pinlock anyway and the flip-down sunvisor is awesome.
