Last summer we did  a 2 day dash in the car to the Austrian Tyrol and hired a BMW from the hotel for a few days. Weather was awful but once out of the clouds the views were un-beatable.

We also had an Audi A5 cabriolet quatro for a day to go over Stelvio, but got a puncture and it has a sealant kit and no spare wheel.

travelled the 900  and odd miles to the hotel in 2 days, then had 7 nights out there.

Plan was for 4 days on BM's but silly amounts of rain meant we only use a bike for 2 days.

Its very easy to see why bikers are attracted to the Alps. Stunning scenery and roads to match.
