No really.... come here ya cheeky minx!!.....  :scooter:

never ever give your other half the keys to your bike,,  .....

sooooo we are test riding... again... Smarty wants a new bike as she feels she has 'out grown' her bandit... i have to say i do agree, after 12k miles it's getting a bit tired, even with the new suspension and tyres...
yesterday she picked up a BMW k1300s fer a 24hour test ride.... and didn't really like it... so back it went, we stopped to get some petrol on the way back and i said 'do you want a go on mine'  :stupid: now i should have known the outcome of this as last time i suggested this, she fooked off on my Tuono and left me to go the rest of the way home on her fazer 6

On she gets, clicks into gear and VROOOOM..... Bollox she bloody well likes it....  ....sooooo i came the rest of the way home on her bandit..... guess where we are off to later... yup kawasaki dealers...  :biker3:
She is like the Bumblebee, she should not fly....... and yet she does!

  :mfr_lol:   Hyper-positive rant  Good on'er!

Mrs Mog must be quite  gal.............................does she have a twin sister available?
Just because many do it does not make it right. Just because many think it does not make it true.

I was rather hoping she didn't like the K1300S and gave it to you to take back ...  Apparently it's lovely

nah.. i did have a cheeky go and wasn't keen on it either..... Smarty has as a test ride booked for next week on the VFR1200 and the Sprint GT, any input from you chaps is welcome.......

the other sly suggestion was she has the GTR and i buy a new ZZR1400 ....  :gunsmilie:

Well ... I did have a VFR1200 for the day soon after they came out when my Honda was in for service ... very nice bike all round, really lovely with Honda build quality still shining through ... The only reason I didn't get one was that I had already seen the Gtr and fallen in love with it and when you put the luggage on it just looked as if it was stuck on by some mutant school kid and didn't look to be part of the bike !
Plus I fancied a change from Honda ... but from me "thumbs up" .......

When I was looking for this bike, I went to see a second hand GTR in the Triumph dealer in Stoke. It was sat in the corner covered in crap and looked lost and forgotten. The guy at the dealer said he could get it ready for the next week to test drive and offered me a go on the GT sprint. I thought the GT was ace, did everything I wanted and had loads of character. THe wife liked it too. Then a week later I had a 3 hour test ride on a GTR with Orrall Kawasaki near Wigan. The rest is history and I really don'y know what I would look for as a replacement for the GTR when the time comes, perhaps a bright green ZZR with luggage. Nest bike I have ever ridden, with only 2 criticisms from me, the screen and corrosion on fittings and mainstand.

Now back to the thread: Did you ever ride an FJR1300?

Chris ... a good dose of ACF50 every now and again will sort out any corosion problems .. I always get down there with tin and cloth to make sure the stand is clean and strong ... don't want the GTR collapsing on the road !!

ChrisB

No, never had a go of the FJR, I have only ridden 2 Yamahas, an RD400 which I hated, couldn't get rid of it fast enough and a short ride on an FJ1200. Both put me off Yamahas forever, but I admit to liking the new Teneriffe or whatever it's called. Word association? If I was ChrisP then maybe but ChrisB is stretching it a bit. Now where's that beer can sandwich? :mfr_lol:

I looked at the Sprint GT and ST last year along with the new VFR.

Trumper:

Quick responses, good riding position but felt so light it was almost like you had a 125 between your legs.  Good luggage space

VFR

Liked this better (I had the cluchless model)

All good apart from you had to buy the luggage and again the bike felt very light which reduced my confidence in it.

Hope this helps
A friend in need....Is a pain in the a**

Cheers for that any comments help tbh... VFR comes with free luggage at the moment , and she is looking at a pre reg model which is about £1500 off list
